Woven by Hand. Worn with Intention.
There is something quietly extraordinary about a fabric that carries the fingerprints of the person who made it. This Pure White Handloom Khaddar is exactly that — a cloth born from patience, skill, and a tradition that has been passed down through generations of rural women artisans across India.
Each metre is spun by hand on a charkha, woven thread by thread on a handloom, and finished with a gentle natural bleaching process that gives it that clean, luminous white you see. No shortcuts. No machines doing the heavy lifting. Just hands, time, and craft.
What Makes This Fabric Different
- 100% Pure Cotton — breathable, skin-friendly, and naturally hypoallergenic
- Hand Spun & Hand Woven — every thread carries the mark of artisan hands
- Naturally Bleached — pure white achieved through a gentle process, free from harsh chemicals
- Indigenous Khaddar Weave — a coarser, more textured cousin of Khadi, known for its durability and earthy character
- Made in India — crafted in rural communities by women artisans who are the backbone of India's handloom heritage
How It Feels, How It Wears
Khaddar has a distinctive texture — slightly coarser than fine Khadi, with a satisfying weight that drapes beautifully and softens with every wash. It is the kind of fabric that gets better with age. Wear it as a kurta, stitch it into a summer shirt, use it for home linen, or let it be the canvas for your next block print project. It holds dye exceptionally well and responds beautifully to natural and synthetic colours alike.
The Story Behind Every Metre
This fabric is made by women artisans in rural India — weavers who have inherited their craft and continue to practise it with quiet pride. When you choose this fabric, you are not just buying cloth. You are supporting a livelihood, preserving a tradition, and bringing a piece of India's living textile heritage into your home or wardrobe.
